The Only Thing Offensive in America is the Truth

"And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: For truth is fallen in the street and equity cannot enter." Isaiah 59:14 KJV

This chapter of Isaiah is a prophecy of the errors, heresies, immorality and sin which will prevail before the coming of Christ. We have truly reached a sad day in America. We now call evil good and good evil. We now worry about being politically correct instead of Bible correct. It does not matter what we think, but what God says.

The first part of the verse says judgment is turned away backward. This is exactly what has happened in America. Judgment here means what is right and wrong. They had turned their back on judgment and wanted nothing to do with it. We do not have spiritual judgment in high places anymore. Every man is doing what is right in his own eyes. Justice is righteousness and he is looking on at a distance. If we could see justice, he is pushed in a corner and looks on at America with tears.

Then the verse tells us that truth has fallen in the street. It has become offensive. Where it used to be preached, exalted and established, it is now thrown down and trampled upon. Most people can see wicked sites on TV or the internet and not be offended. We can see same sex marriage and say as long as they do not bother me and not be offended, but when confronted with the truth, people are offended. The Bible plainly teaches that God's word is truth. The truth has fallen, but at one time it was lifted up. So I made a list of some things that the truth has fallen in the street about in America.

1.) Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. These other religions are wicked and will send you to hell.

2.) Salvation by repentance and believing the gospel. Even some so-called Christian groups add infant baptism, the Lord's Supper, good works. If a man come by any other way but the door, he is a thief and a robber.

3.) The word of God being infallible. The KJV is God's word for English speaking people. There are no errors in the Bible. God has preserved it through all generations.

4.) What a home is. A home is a man and a woman who are married, not people who live together in the sin of fornication.

5.) What a church is. Unless a church can trace its roots back to the apostles, it is not a church. There are some things that must be a doctrine of a church for it to be one of the Lord's churches.

6.) Eternal security.

7.) Baptism by immersion for born again people only.

8.) The Lord's supper for that body of believers only.

9.) It must preach and practice holiness and separation.
